Well it’s new. It is a lowercase “G” the color is not the same as capital “G” used in everything they brand.
My opinion is that waters wet and this is dull.

Ummmm… I’ve seen it and I don;t know if I like it or nor, I mean, it’s just a favicon, I don’t really care about favicons… It’s ok I guess…. for something I don’t care about…

I am okay with it. Maybe they just don’t want to confuse people in Firefox browser, which is Google’s search engine box, and which is not.
